To qualify, CityWheels Applicants must:
- Pay a Fee of $75 for Annual Membership and a one-time application charge of per $35 driver, plus sales tax (click here for pricing information)
- Be at least 18 years old (Added requirements for drivers under 21)
- Have no felony convictions
- Qualify for our insurance coverage (see Driving Record below)
- Complete an Online Orientation
- Review and accept the CityWheels Terms and Conditions (PDF)
You must provide a copy of your license, your international permit, and your official driving record from the issuing country.
Driving Record Requirements
- Held a valid driver's license for the last two years
- No alcohol-related violations in the last seven years
- No more than two minor moving violations in the last three years
- No at-fault accidents or major violations in the last three
years
Major violations include:- excessive speeding (15+ mph over the limit);
- operating to endanger or reckless driving;
- leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage;
- operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked license; or
- school bus stopping-flag violation.

All drivers must approve the CityWheels Terms and Conditions. Among other provisions, the Terms and Conditions require members to notify CityWheels immediately should they become non-compliant with any of these qualifications.
